VP, Finance

The NxEdge V.P. Finance will lead the finance, accounting, internal control, and reporting functions for NxEdge, a growing $200 million semiconductor business headquartered in Boise, Idaho.  As a recently acquired subsidiary of publicly traded EnPro Industries, the role includes the enhancement of accounting practices, processes and controls in compliance with SOX and US GAAP. The role also leads NxEdge’s planning, budgeting and forecasting in close collaboration with the NxEdge executive leadership team. The V.P. Finance will report directly to the V.P. Finance of EnPro’s Advanced Surface Technologies segment based at EnPro’s Charlotte, North Carolina headquarters, with dotted line responsibility to the NxEdge President.

NxEdge is an advanced manufacturing, cleaning, coating, and refurbishment business focused on the semiconductor value chain, serving customers from 3 facilities in Boise, ID and 3 in northern California.  NxEdge is a newly acquired addition to Enpro’s high-growth Advanced Surface Technologies segment, which is made up of businesses that utilize proprietary technologies, processes, and capabilities with highly differentiated services and products to serve the most challenging applications for semiconductor equipment, specialized optical filters, and thin-film coatings.

• Estimated travel - 10-20%

JOB DUTIES: 

Month-End and Quarter-End Close and Reporting

• Oversee and manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure compliance with US GAAP, EnPro policies and regulatory requirements
• Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end consolidated NxEdge reports to provide insightful analysis to NxEdge, AST, and Enpro management in support of internal and external reporting requirements and assist division, segment, and corporate leadership in the overall management of the business
• Oversee NxEdge month-end reporting and OneStream consolidation process to ensure consistency and effectiveness across reporting units

Business and Quantitative Analysis

• Support the NxEdge President and other business leaders through regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis (sales, GM, SG&A, and EBITDA by site and division; sales, orders, and backlog reporting and analysis; budget v. actual; NWC / eCFROI metric improvement analysis)
• Advise on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments and allocation, pricing, contract negotiations, material costs, and other matters with management

Compliance

• Lead implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements across NxEdge facilities, including incremental resources engaged
• Establish, monitor, promote, and maintain an effective and SOX compliant internal control environment to ensure accurate and complete reporting to EnPro
• Review and present quarter-end variance analyses (P&L, balance sheet) for NxEdge sites and divisions to support Enpro SOX requirements
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors
• Enpro finance/accounting initiatives as necessary

Finance leadership

• Collaborate with AST segment and Enpro finance leadership to share and implement best practices and support finance initiatives
• Work closely with NxEdge leadership and EnPro to provide appropriate financial education with staff at all levels throughout the organization
• Create and promote a positive, developmental, and supportive work environment in line with Enpro’s dual bottom-line culture
• Attract and develop finance team members and support personal and professional growth through coaching and providing appropriate goals and challenges to support development

Budgeting, Forecasting and Analysis

• Lead preparation of NxEdge annual operating plan and budgeting process and periodic forecasts in collaboration with the executive team and support of the finance team and others
• Prepare, analyze, and report on NxEdge actual v. budget/forecast. Identify and support opportunities for growth in revenue and profitability

Special Projects

Lean and/or assist on improvement teams, including the leveraging of EnPro technical talent and other resources for the benefit of NxEdge
