JOB SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Intern will help support planning and day-to-day operations of the Columbia plant through performing time studies, document planning, and router creation along with other responsibilities falling under Supply Chain and Operations.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform Time Studies on current process (in the manufacturing shop) 
  • Verify Times on completed jobs against standards (check accuracy) 
  • Document planning system 
  • Review videos for content / work instructions 
  • Work with production planner on “how to” and standard process for daily planning 
  • Work on terminal layouts to improve production employee interface 
  • Upload Helicoflex Routers 
  • Creating a way to check schedule attainment for shops on iPlanner 
  • Creating baseline for UVEC times on Routers 
  • Checking Planning system on Heat Treat, and indirect functions to make sure planning correctly 
  • Deep dive into “planning” times and steps for specific indirect operations such as PTFE or tool room 
  • UVEC routers 
  • SSP Routers 

 

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs any other assigned duty as directed by Master Scheduler.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business or similar field. (Junior/Senior year, graduation date of Fall/Winter 2021 highly preferred)
  • High School graduate or equivalency is required.
  • Proficiency at Microsoft Excel 
  • Solid basic math / analysis 
  • Mixed shop floor / office environment 
  • Sense of urgency  
  • Attention to detail 
  • Strong communication skills
