Title: Automatic Winder- Skilled Machine Operator
General Summary: Performs light industrial manufacturing as an Automatic Winding Machine Operator in a metal gasket manufacturing plant. This individual must have the ability to accomplish all tasks with little or no supervision. The right individual will have a fantastic opportunity to mature and grow with the company.
Major Functions:
Primary responsibility will be to operate the automatic winding machine that produces metal wound gaskets.
Elevated level of Mechanical aptitude.
Performs and records quality checks as required.
Maintains a clean work area, works in a safe manner, and performs other tasks as directed by production management.
Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, all situations that could arise. Apply commonsense understanding to conduct detailed but uninvolved written and/or oral instructions.
Monitor machine cycles to avoid equipment issues or failures
Review orders and drawings to verify product specifications
Calculate and record daily production numbers
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 1 to 2 years’ experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment is favorable.
