Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will have primary responsibility on the inventory, fixed asset, and cost accounting aspects of Alluxa. Responsibilities will also include activities around the general ledger and monthly close process, recurring and non-recurring journal entries, and related account reconciliations.  This will include matters related to these roles that are required of publicly traded companies, including participation in SEC filings and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). Strong written and verbal communication skills and effective interpersonal skills are critical.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform General ledger (GL) accounting for Alluxa cost centers including preparation of journal entries and activities around the monthly accounting close process.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Issue and reconcile intercompany expense allocations, if necessary
  • Prepare Quarter end and year end Reporting Packages as needed
  • Be responsible for all vendor payments as well as approving disbursement listings.
  • Participate in the annual Corporate budget process
  • Assist Supply Chain with all inventory processes including inventory receiving, cycle counting and a full physical count.
  • Manage the Fixed Assets and Depreciation of the Company.

Minimum job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with an emphasis in accounting
  • 5+ years of prior accounting work experience
  • Strong computer skills including detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters or equivalent graduate degree in accounting
  • CPA, or CPA candidate with demonstrated progress toward gaining license
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience in working with and analyzing data from ERP and consolidation software modules
