Job Summary & Job Duties

JOB SUMMARY
The Coatings Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the Semiconductor market will be responsible for working with our semiconductor commercial team and coating specific technical teams in promoting and developing our complete coatings offering. This will include being involved in customer facing meetings as a resource with our commercial team, aligning with our new business development teams in getting our coatings qualified, and working with our innovation team on the development of recipes and next generation coating technologies. This position will support products and capabilities for Enpro’s Advanced Surface Technologies (AST) segment, which includes Technetics Semi, NxEdge, LeanTeq and Alluxa.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• In-depth knowledge of materials, processes, specification parameters, manufacturing, and customer requirements pertaining to thick-film and thin-film coatings
• In tandem with our Semi commercial team, is responsible for promoting our overall coating portfolio and generating new coating related business opportunities within our AST semiconductor customer base
• Able to meet with key customers to understand key coating challenges and translate that into design outputs and customer offerings
• Ability to interact and develop strong relationships with customer’s relevant engineering contacts.
• Responsible for working with our development teams and our customers to move opportunities forward through the qualification process
• Responsible for working with our innovation team on developing new coating materials, recipes, and technologies for introduction into our portfolio
• Utilize clear communication methods internally between our various operation sites (Daytona, FL; Boise, ID: Bay Area, CA; Singapore) and commercial teams
• Will have product line responsibility for coatings which includes aligning with the commercial team on revenue goals, opportunities, and development/qualification progress as well as providing coating product line updates to the commercial team and management
• Ability to program manage projects with long-term qualification cycles (up to 12-18mths)
• Ability to develop and present coating related presentations internally and externally as well as provide input for and potentially develop key coating related marketing material
• Embraces the authority and responsibility to collaborate with site resources to resolve problems at site level
• Facilitator for both the customer and company interests; acts as an advocate for both
• Work closely with various internal cross functional teams, as necessary, as well as available technical resources
• Expected to keep up with activities related to the customer as well as the semiconductor industry including the International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS), Semi.org updates, and general market information related to coatings

Minimum Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Master’s in engineering/materials preferable)
• In-depth knowledge of semiconductor processing equipment architecture and required coatings
• Five or more years in technical sales/development experience, primarily to the semiconductor market segment. Experience with major Semiconductor Fabs, Foundries or OEMs is desirable
• Understanding of the Commercial aspects of the Semiconductor industry
• Exceptional communication, both written and verbal, and organizational skills
• Self-motivated person
• Seeks responsibility, identifies problems, and recommends and implements solutions
• Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Power Point, Excel and Word
• Ability to travel as needed, primarily domestically with some international travel
