We are looking for a Production Technician for our DeLand Facility!

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Technician I is an entry level role which cleans and operates manufacturing equipment, assembles, and measures products, and adheres to all factory safety guidelines and standard.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Starts assembly and production machinery at beginning of shift.
  • Perform inspection of work using manual (micrometers, dial calipers, etc.) measuring tools
  • Preparation and assembly of materials for manufacture of aerospace components
  • Makes sure that workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials.
  • Addresses problems with production equipment and machinery and fixes them as needed.
    Operation of band saw, router table, and drill press operation for the manufacture of aerospace components
  • Operation of wire winding, spot welding, and abrasive saw machines; and assembly of bristles for aerospace components
  • Observes and removes faulty product parts from assembly line.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines dictation the production and handling of materials in the factory.
  • Ensures that all production deadlines are met.
  • Reports issues or problems with production to immediate supervisor.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma/GED or Vocational School equivalent Required: Understands basic safety standards and policies
  • 1+ year of experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Basic tool and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to follow oral and detailed written instructions

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle and feel material, as well as reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
