JOB SUMMARY:
Lead a team of supervisors across a variety of manufacturing environments to work safely and efficiently while creating engagement throughout the workforce. Develop team members to effectively meet daily and monthly production targets while establishing best practices and setting consistent shop-floor expectations across the Palmyra “East End” operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and support supervisors based on their individual experience and capabilities.
- Foster team collaboration between departments that allows for cross training and backups when there is a vacancy.
- Establish Supervisor standard work to facilitate establishing norms and to allow for easier transition when filling in for another area.
- Lead team to measure and manage production department to meet key performance indicators that correspond with Safety, Production, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Develop others to lead while being responsible for an efficient use of labor hours, material and machines.
- Understand and communicate current controllable expenses and is works to improve performance for labor (direct and indirect), materials, supplies, and maintenance of production facilities.
- Establish best practices and consistency across product lines for enforcing plant safety rules and instructing personnel in safe working habits. Support departments in developing engaged safety teams and audits.
- Train others on how to use Near Miss Database and Maintenance Connection.
- Lead team to effectively resolve conflicts early and as well as employee grievances and problems as they arise.
- Establish best practices and consistency across product lines in employee documentation related to training, safety, work instructions, discipline, vacation, job evaluation, etc.
- Coach teams to become more effective communicator’s and to drive engagement at all levels.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate work experience
- 8-10 years broad experience in Manufacturing Operations
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing
- Computer skills in MSOffice and ERP systems
- Must be able to read measuring instruments to do quality audit of products, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to lead others to establish work schedules and make decisions that align with company KPI’s
WORKING CONDITIONS: On-site Manufacturing
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Office and Manufacturing Floor Position: Ability to perform sedentary work, spending extended periods of time working with a computer. Physical effort may include stooping, kneeling, touching, feeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Clarity of vision to see near and mid-range. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
