Job Title: Procurement Specialist/Buyer
Location: Boise, ID
NxEdge is seeking a Procurement Specialist/Buyer to assist with the purchases of low to intermediate dollar goods and services for it's world class company providing vertically integrated solution to the Semiconductor market. Our expertise in Engineering Material Coatings (EMC) allows global leading chip manufacturers and OEM equipment makers to achieve next generation technologies.
Essential Functions:
Purchases low to intermediate dollar goods and services requiring excellent internal/external communications.
Purchases items that are typically sourced from a known supplier and are reviewed and approved at higher levels in Purchasing and within the customer group.
Purchase order management including placement, tracking, expediting, changing or amending and order closure.
Coordinate sourcing and order activity with using organizations and individual requestors.
Coordinate with the supplier, requestor, finance, stores, shipping and receiving and corporate, as necessary to resolve out of control conditions within the procurement process.
Manage small blanket supply contract for both materials and services as required.
Generate and maintain the detailed planning, forecasting, ordering, analyzing, expediting, and follow-up tools for commodities purchased.
Balances conceptual/relationship responsibilities with a high volume of tasks oriented functions.
Considers the impact of decisions and acts in the best interest of the department and company.
Assists internal customers in defining requirements, researching alternate sources and assessing the financial health of suppliers.
Negotiates pricing, delivery and terms with suppliers.
Required Skills:
One to Three years’ experience in Purchasing or related field
Ability to work in a team environment to complete goals, while also working alone on projects.
Basic PC skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software packages, especially spreadsheet applications.
Familiar with business and purchasing concepts and strategies such as e-business, supply chain management, and industry best practices.
Good written and verbal skill required. Able to take detailed and well-organized notes to summarize meeting results, agreements, action items, and problems.
Schedules and runs meetings and conference calls with internal customers and suppliers effectively.
Presents professional image inside and outside company.
Maintains well-developed and effective follow through and customer feedback systems.
Able to deal with change and to operate in a less-controlled environment with consistent feedback to supervisor/manager.
High School Diploma or GED
Physical Demands:
Extensive periods of sitting, talking on the phone, and working on the computer.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds by self in a safe manner
