The Operations Product Associate Engineer is the entry level position within the Operations Product Engineering Team. This role is responsible for completing the training needed to successfully execute the engineering manufacturing steps necessary for producing thin film filter products and services for customer orders under the direction of the Operations Product Engineering Team Leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Thin Film Coating Design: creates thin film coating designs and recipes to fulfill customer requirements based on meeting specifications documented in the MES system. Creates coating designs based on Alluxa standard procedures and analyzes designs for appropriate manufacturability.

Product Specifications: reviews customer order related documents (purchase order, quote, drawings) as needed to create a complete and accurate internal product specification in the Alluxa manufacturing execution system (MES).

Product Test Instructions: creates product test instructions for performance testing needed to confirm achievement of product specifications within the framework of commitments in the Alluxa quote and the customer purchase order and drawings.

Product Disposition: formats and analyzes product test data to assess performance relative to customer requirements contained in the Product Specification. Communicates and documents disposition results in the MES system.

Customer Data: compiles, formats and verifies product performance data to be provided to customers.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications
4 year technical degree: BS or BA in Engineering or Physics
Entry level position, no prior experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

PREFERRED ABILITY to:
• Read and interpret engineering drawings of parts, tooling, and equipment.
• Work with a high degree of accuracy; high attention to detail
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices
• Accomplish tasks with minimum supervision
• Prioritize multiple tasks at once

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE of:
• Optical thin film filter design, manufacturing processes and testing
• Engineering statistics
• Mathematics and scientific principles/units
