Compensation: 19.30 per hour + all benefits (i.e medical, dental, vision and prescription insurances, 401k with 6% match, vacation, 10 holidays per calendar year, and much more!

Schedule: 1st shift (Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepares products for processing by, degreasing, cleaning, phosphatizing and other methods of surface preparation.
  • Monitors water levels in the degrease/phosphatizing tanks.
  • Processes metals through the phosphate line as dictated in the work instruction, utilizing the overhead hoists and tooling designed for the tasks.
  • Changes filters as needed and documents on the log. Uses lock out tag out when changing out filters.
  • Changes the oil separator media as specified and documents in the log.
  • Records readings on the check list log.
  • Performs Phosphate line operational parameters as specified in work instructions.
  • Sets up and operates spraying equipment to apply paint and/or bonding agent to components and finished parts.
  • Maintains and services spray guns, pressure pots, inspects and replaces turbine filters as needed or in accordance with the manufactures service guides.
  • Cuts spring material to required length, joins ends and secures by spot welding.
  • Operates spot welder for steel spring. Adjusts and cleans welding tips.
  • Applies adhesives by dip painting method for misc parts.
  • Cuts garter spring, assembles connector into the garter spring, degreases and applies adhesive as dictated by the Assembly routing.
  • Performs in-process and final product inspections as required per order and/or work instructions. Inspections may require a visual and/or dimensional verification requiring the use of various measuring devices.
  • Operates and adjusts dimensions on the brass former , including tooling change over for the different widths of brass as dictated by the Assembly router.
  • Operates the brazing unit to connect the brass ring.
  • Operates a shear to make brass splints used to connect the brass rings.
  • Performs visual inspection of brazing welds, performs weld strength tests on the testing stand.
  • Material handling as required, may require the use of lift truck.
  • Date entry using pc and pre-designed spread sheets and programs

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keeps work area clean.
  • Performs other jobs as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Cleans equipment, guns and trays as required.
  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance including but not limited to the oiling, cleaning, and care of paint guns, electrodes, spray booths, paint room accessories and machines.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Abe to read and write
  • Basic math and ability to read a ruler
  • Able to use of fixed gauges.
  • Able to follow prescribed schedule in planning work.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Average physical demand includes a variety of sitting, lifting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, turning, carrying, visual checking throughout the work day.
  • Able to lift 35 lbs max, use of a helper or lifting devices required for anything weighing over 35 lbs.

FREQUENCY PER SHIFT: 0-3 times per shift.

REPETITIVE MOTION TASKS: grip and pinch

DURATION OF SHIFT: 20%

OTHER: Must have lock out/ tag out & must wear proper PPE for area

WORKING CONDITIONS: Dust, fumes solvents
