Operator is an entry level position to perform deburring, polishing, cleaning, sawing, and simple machine and assembly functions in support of manufacturing. Learn all aspects of our operation and support the Production Team in other areas of manufacturing. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities necessary to meet the minimum job requirements of this position. Perform job functions to manufacture parts to exacting blueprint dimensions and requirements and ensure 100% part quality.




  • Maintain safe operations by identifying safety risks and adhering to safety procedures, requirements, and regulations.
  • Deburring & Polishing.
  • Sawing.
  • Part Washing.
  • Stress Relieving.
  • Sandblasting.
  • Tumbling.
  • Read and understand Job Orders and Drawings to effectively process parts to requirements.
  • Maintains machine tools following established preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Follows all prescribed quality procedures.
  • Performs 1st piece inspections and monitors own work to meet process requirements.
  • Maintains work area in a neat an orderly manner.
  • Actively participates in Continuous Improvement Program, 5S program and culture, and R.O.P.E. (Removing Obstacles and Promoting Engagement).
  • General bench operations including minor assembly, rework and any other duties as needed
  • Produce high quality parts (100% good pieces) within prescribed routed time to meet production demands.  If standard production rates cannot be met, the operator must notify his supervisor.



  • Maintain safe operations by identifying safety risks and adhering to safety procedures, requirements, and regulations.
  • Any additional duties as assigned by supervisor.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:                                                  


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year deburring/operator experience in a job shop environment, preferred.
  • Ability to solve inspection problems as well as utilize experience to develop new approaches.
  • Must be able to correctly interpret drawings dimensions and views; also, obtain help for more complex GD&T call-outs on the drawing.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings and routings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to communicate with co-workers and supervisor.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Must be able to read a micrometer, drop indictor and vernier caliper.  Should be able to utilize the optical comparator and profilometer. 



 This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
