JOB TITLE: Logistic Specialist (1st shift)

DEPARTMENT: Shipping

LOCATION: Houston, TX

FT/PT STATUS: Full-Time

Qualifications

· Required 2-5 years Shipping/Receiving & Logistic experience in a Distribution Facility or Manufacturing Facility

· 2- 5 years' experience in Export Documents and Shipments Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

· 2-5 years' experience in routing and scheduling LTL

· Microsoft experienced preferred

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to communicate with those at all levels

· Ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance

· Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other tools need to perform essential job duties

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Process export orders in Visual Compliance to obtain a commercial invoice for shipment, and file AES when needed for exports.

Will review the commercial invoice and packing list to ensure shipment is filed correctly with brokers.

Will ensure that HTS and Country of Origins are on documents.

Communicate with appropriate internal/external customers, including trading desks, loading facilities, freight forwarders, brokers, and vendors.

Knowledge on Microsoft suite of tools such as Outlook, Excel, and Word as well as comfortable working on a computer

Communicate with appropriate internal/external customers, Freight forwarders, loading facilities, LTL Carriers, brokers, and vendors.

Performs weekly tasks of cycle counts, restocking imports, and assisting with locating missing parts and pickers and participating on core shipping team

Able to lift up to 35 lbs

Helps other areas as needed. Material handling as required.

Safety functions shall include submitting a corrected safety opportunity each month, attending safety team when it meets and adhering to the EnPro policies

Performs daily duties that include Pulling orders & Jobs, Packing orders, closing orders in Oracle, reviewing GH Shipping email, loading/unloading shipments as needed, updating SPQDC board, and review EOD backlog, Process orders in Ship Console, Bill orders.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintains a clean and safe work area.

Participates in/or leads continuous improvement projects.
