Key Responsibilities 

  • Executes multiple small to medium projects or a single complex project from inception to completion in an Agile environment.
  • Builds strong working relationships, partnering with project teams, stakeholders, internal and external business partners.
  • Proactively identifies and actively manages key risks, issues, and project escalations.
  • Collaborates with technology, business, and stakeholders to help define roadmaps, tasks, milestones, roles, and other measures of success.
  • Displays technical acumen (ability to understand technical concepts, apply critical thinking to solutions and translate complex technical concepts to broad audiences).
  • Clearly communicates overall progress of projects, including - status, detailed presentations, issues/risks, and other ad hoc reports/requests as required.
  • Identifies opportunities for both modernization and process improvements including facilitating implementation of best practices across the organization.
  • Requests, plans, and manages resources by assigning tasks and monitoring project team performance.
  • Assists in the definition of project scope, project charter and objectives, involving input from all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Communicates a clear vision of the project’s objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them.
  • Develops and maintains all project management documentation.
  • Prepares detailed project plans within the standards of project management methodologies.
  • Ensures appropriate IT project management standards and methods are followed.
  • Organizes project work into manageable work packages and/or phases; determine an effective approach to completing the work that includes internal and external resource needs.
  • Develops accurate estimates for effort, budget, and schedule.
  • Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and mitigates risks; Establishes contingency plans.
  • Provides tracking and reporting on cost and schedule progress compared to plan.
  • Finalize, captures, and tracks metrics and performance for the project.
  • Manages changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using the appropriate verification techniques.
  • Manages relationships with the project stakeholders as well as external business partners.
  • Serves as liaison between technical and non-technical departments to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.  
  • Resolves issues that impact the project in a timely, effective manner; Ensure adequate escalation and resolution of project issues or risks as needed.
  • Manages/coordinates third parties/vendors and procurement related to the project requirements.
  • Develops communication plan and communicate project status to all levels of management, project stakeholders and participants.
  • Supports and leads training and change management efforts based on project specifications.
  • Provides consulting, coaching, and training on Agile practices to enhance Agile development practices.
  • Identifies organizational impediments to successful Agile transformation and works to effectively resolve them.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in project management and Agile related tools such as Smartsheets, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent meeting planning and facilitation skills
  • Must be able to effectively handle aggressive deadlines, shifting priorities and quickly assess and resolve issues
  • Demonstrates flexibility, adapts to shifting priorities, embraces ambiguity and navigates through change positively while helping to remove challenges/blockers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with large cross-functional teams that are geographically distributed and culturally diverse
  • Strong analytic and decision-making abilities
  • Demonstrated experience running multiple large scale, complex technology projects or programs
  • Experience in business process analysis, including requirements planning, analysis and documentation, and the application of information technology to solving business needs

Educational Background:

  • BS degree in IT Project Management, Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior success leading medium scale agile projects and software development implementations.
  • 5+ years of related project management experience specifically focused on technology
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Scrum Master certification preferred
