Job Summary: 

 

The IT Business Solutions Analyst is responsible for leading the effort to understand business needs and identify how best to meet those needs. This includes working with the business and the technology areas to gather requirements for development and management. The role leads the effort to analyze, validate and document the business and system requirements.  They are a key facilitator within the IT organization, acting as a bridge between the business and the IT groups, and is accountable for a technology solution that supports the business request.  This role partners with many teams during the initial stages of the project/solution to ensure the accuracy of business cases and that solutions meet the business need.

Assists in designing applications required to automate business processes and meet business needs. The resulting design may be required to run on multiple platforms and may be composed of multiple software packages and custom components.

Responsible for applications-related quality, performance, availability, scalability, and integrity. Also responsible for the functional interface to applications and for ensuring application usability.

Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine requirements and specify effective business processes by utilizing improvements in information systems, data management, practices, procedures, organization and equipment 

Experience with Data and Solution Architecture

Utilizes Best Practices in the critical evaluation and selection and / or development of the software components and hardware requirements of ERP Platform

Conducts investigations at a high level for strategy studies, requirements specifications and feasibility studies 

Ability to define, plan and justify projects in business terms to develop/implement automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes 

Manage and coordinate projects approved by business stakeholders focusing on Operations functions at optimum cost and performance in accordance with established company and divisional objectives 

Maintains technical awareness at a level where alternatives can be analyzed, modeled and classified according to technical feasibility and performance 

Utilizes business experience and skills to assess and advise on the practicability of alternatives, marrying up technical limitations with operational realities 

Assists business owners in defining acceptance tests for automated systems, and takes responsibility for their proper execution 

Responsible for the detailed specification and modeling of recommended solutions using resources, standards, methods and tools as required 

Maintains partnership with software engineering and service delivery functions to collaborate on bringing systems to implementation using detailed organization policies and methods

Requirements: 

  • Advanced computer skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to create documentation and provide end user training
  • Ability to manage small projects and timelines 
  • Experience working with either manufacturing operations or finance
  • Knowledge of agile methods 
  • Experience and proficiency leading projects or teams 
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience 
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in relevant field 
  • Able to travel 10%
