The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for providing our customers the experience defined by our business strategy. They ensure total customer satisfaction through a customer centric model that contributes to the organic growth of our company.


  • Facilitate organic and new business growth:
    • Implement pricing policies in conjunction with Business Development Manager or sales leadership
    • Implement pricing optimization actions and costing tools to insure margin achievement
    • Implement sales tools such as M2M, etc.
  • Manage the inside sales & customer service activities:
    • Drive the inside sales process according to the operational and performance indicators: scheduling, organizing, managing working procedures to achieve the quote to order process, responses to RFQ, contract reviews, order entries, delivery status, RMA, credits and replies to any requests
    • Implement the service level defined by market and customer segmentation working across the organization        
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and development of customer relationships.  Collect and communicate VOC feedback other functions of the company and propose any improvement actions. 
  • Manage the Chicago inside sales team responsible for quotes and order processing including on-site or remote workers.
    • Set goals & objectives, monitor implementation and review results 
    • Conduct performance reviews and develop the skills of the team
    • Ensure compliance to policies, working instructions, local work rules, and support company core values (Safety, Excellence and Respect).
  • Be the primary contact of the other functions of the manufacturing site for all matters relating to inside sales and customer service. 
  • Participate in local site leadership as requested.
  • Drive continuous improvement:
    • Encourage ideas and propose actions to improve service to customers and increase the efficiency of the group. 
  • Will have responsibility for direct customer interaction for certain products or regions as determined with sales leadership. 


  • Regular reporting of quote, orders, backlog and forecast support to the Sales leadership as requested.
  • Actively participates in a safety team to assist with the implementation and completion of various safety initiatives which could include both on-site and remote workers.
  • Performs any other assigned duty as directed by sales leadership or General Manager.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related area required
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a customer service or inside sales role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel) and ERP (M2M)
  • Supervision, Process Improvement, Performance Management, Communication, Data Analysis
  • Customer Service Focus
  • Ability to solve problems creatively 
  • Define priorities and manage a team
  • Setting goals and objectives, monitoring their implementation and control 
  • Knowledge of quote-to-payment receipt process in an ERP system 


  • Minimal safety hazards; general requirements of an office environment.
  • Sitting; standing; walking throughout the facility; talking; seeing; hearing; feeling; bending or stooping; squatting or crouching; reaching; kneeling; pushing; pulling; lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional overnight travel will be required to support customer or corporate meetings.
  • Remote and onsite work locations are available depending on experience and business need.
