  • Full Time  ( 40 hours a week)
  • 1st shift ( Monday to Friday from 6am - 2pm)
  • 8 hours shifts

  • Performs Shipping, Receiving, and cutting functions within the Gylon Department.
  • Uses fork lift truck, measuring instruments, and packaging devices.
  • Completes and distributes any and all documents pertaining to production reporting, materials received and product shipping.
  • Receives materials and/or products released from production units for shipping and/or stocking purposes.
  • Responsible for logical and orderly method of organizing full Gylon sheets and cut downs to facilitate ease of identification and handling.
  • Prioritizes shipping orders, reviews documents for style, size and qualities and for any special shipping instructions.
  • Determines shipping method if not specified on order set, per scheduled ship dates.
  • Responsible for correct style, size and quantities shipped; as well as quality of goods sent.
  • Brings deviations as to quality standards to the attention of supervision prior to shipment.
  • Performs receiver duties including unloading trucks, vans, etc. weights and counts materials, and keeps records when required.
  • Compares receiving documents ( carrier freight bill, delivery receipt and packing lists) to verify items and quantities received.




  • Keeps work area clean.
  • Completes all associated documentation as deemed necessary by Supervisor.
  • Adheres to all plant safety rules and guidelines.
  • Performs other jobs as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance including but not limited to the oiling and care of machines.


  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous manufacturing preferred
  • Able to read adjustable measuring devices as close tolerances must be observed in grinding and sanding parts


  • Standing, some stooping and bending                                   
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs., anything over 30 lbs. requires two people or mechanic means.
  • Frequency per shift: Up to 10 times per day.
  • Repetitive motion parts:  Feeding parts 
  • Duration of shift: 10%                            


  • Dirt, (dust), noise, water, oil, grease, and chemical solution.
  • Union Environment
