The Director of Human Resources plans and directs all aspects of the Advanced Surface Technologies Segments (AST) organization’s human resources activities, ensuring that these activities are aligned and in support of the company’s organizational goals and strategies. This individual is a strategic partner to the Group President, Business Presidents and executive team and engaged in creating a talent-focused culture.
The scope of these activities includes, but is not limited to: policy development and implementation, strategic human capital management, mergers/acquisitions/integration, plus talent acquisition, talent development, talent management, and talent retention. Works in a highly collaborative way with the leadership team within the AST structure, with Enpro and its other divisions. Coaches, mentors, and develops a world-class team to support financial growth and people development in a triple-bottom line culture. The Director of Human Resources is also a key member of the Enpro HR Leadership team, committed to the development and implementation of Enpro’s talent strategy to meet business demands.
Creates, develops and implements Human Resources strategies to support the growth objectives of the Advanced Surface Technologies segment. Implements this strategy by leading, coaching and developing a capable Human Resources team.
Develops a talent-focused culture and manages the talent and organizational development efforts including hiring, assessment, diversity & inclusion, individual performance, coaching, talent profiles, organization development, training, succession planning, organizational structure planning, and change management.
Thought partner and advisor to senior management and company leadership in employee relations, company policy, diversity & inclusion, compensation, and employee benefits. Coaches and facilitates better collaboration and decision making among the global team.
Collaborates with Advanced Surface Technologies staff and other leaders within Enpro to drive our values of Safety, Excellence, Respect and Sustainability deeply into the organization. Works diligently to ensure that Enpro is maturing as a community-based, highly-collaborative, respectful company that honors authenticity over hierarchy. Works to ensure that we are functioning well as a triple bottom line company inclusive of human development continuous improvement metrics.

Proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading HR transformational initiatives in complex, federated environments
Proven experience instilling confidence in the business and demonstrating the business value of HR with a senior peer group
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a proven senior HR leader or similar role
BS/BA in Business, Human Resources or relevant field
Knowledge/Experience of California labor laws strongly preferred
SPHR/SHRM-SCP Certification preferred
30% +/- travel required
