If you are an automation professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Enpro has an exciting opportunity for you!  You will provide leadership, direction, and accountability to create and support a world class culture that leverages automation to drive continuous improvement across Enpro Industries. You will develop and assure the implementation of corporate level strategies, programs, and procedures to provide continuous improvement of global automation and integration of automation principles and activities within the overall business.


  • Co-create a Global Automation Strategy for Enpro that supports our long-term transition to an industry 4.0 environment.
  • Build and develop a multi-year strategic plan driving implementation of automation efforts
  • Engage with key stakeholders to define a strategy and future requirements
  • Develop transformational technology / automation roadmaps
  • Lead the deployment of the Enpro Global Automation Community of Practice
  • Provide recommendations, support, and direction to all business units and functional areas on near state automation opportunities, global automation synergies, risk identification and mitigation
  • Focus on implementing and maintaining consistent global automation metrics and improvement goals
  • Gather, analyze, and distribute key information on current automation capabilities
  • Define the globally harmonized automation elements / tools / work processes / terminology / KPI’s our Management System
  • Measure, report, and drive breakthrough performance in all critical automation metrics
  • Develop, implement, and maintain training that improves product and automation business processes
  • Manage by influence, build capabilities, train, and continuously develop the automation teams at all sites
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of established programs, policies, and procedures 
  • Promote an open and collaborative cross-functional culture
  • Assist with the development of automation standards and manufacturing capabilities
  • Develop of an automation maturity model, audit, and report to leadership on the performance of site and regional automation opportunities for improvement

  • Work with business leaders, operations and supply chain leaders, and manufacturing engineers to drive a transformation in our business with the right automation projects, ensuring strategic operational business results are achieved, and grow the capability of our manufacturing organization


  • Ability to manage by influence
  • Drive the vision, daily operation, and support of a high performing Corporate Automation function


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience managing automation programs across multiple sites is required
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding global automation
  • Minimum of five years of experience in both automation and continuous improvement/lean/six sigma functions.
  • Automotive, Aerospace and Semi-Conductor experience preferred
  • Strong technical background and knowledge
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong financial skills.
  • Strong PC skills to include word processing, spreadsheet, and database.
