Job Summary:

The Commercial Systems Administrator is responsible for managing the CRM and other business systems on a day-to-day basis and will work as part of a team of internal and external resources on multiple system initiatives. The Commercial Systems Administrator will assist with configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our CRM platform that is aligned with the product roadmap. This role will partner regularly with commercial team system users to build and maintain systems valued by the business. The Commercial Systems Administrator is responsible for the quality of the data within the CRMs and will regularly analyze data and system processes to ensure expected outcomes are realized. This role will train users on system functionality and related processes. A successful Administrator will have a strong foundation in analysis and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify the root cause of an issue.

Essential Functions:

  • Regularly perform data hygiene of leads, accounts, opportunities, and custom objects within Salesforce; ensure data governance is adhered to and advise on best practices
  • Design and maintain daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports and dashboards within CRM that measure productivity and support the day-to day needs of the organization, and provide clear, accessible data to management
  • Fulfill specific database requests and analyses regarding campaign tracking and other sales & support initiatives
  • Manage Salesforce processes, workflow rules and business logic to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency
  • Support the Marketing team with integration and flow of information between Salesforce and marketing automation platforms
  • Stay up to date on all Salesforce product releases, system updates and best practices to help steer new customizations and integrations; plan roll out to users and perform testing as needed
  • Maintain internal product/feature requests and implement or coordinate enhancements to Salesforce as required
  • Help to develop and maintain training materials and user documentation; conduct training activities
  • Analyze the effectiveness of the training plan against stated learning objectives and modify as needed to address opportunities for improvement across the core sales roles
  • Monitor system usage, user licenses, data capacity and other metrics
  • Manage CRM support requests, responding to user questions and requests promptly
  • Prioritize and resolve support activities such as: add & remove users, create custom views, troubleshoot business processes, create workflows, import data, build and manage dashboards, re-assign entities and manage email notifications
  • Work closely with the Commercial Systems Manager and other commercial systems resources, including Salesforce personnel and other 3rd parties

Job Competencies & Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce CRM; Salesforce System Admin Certification strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong quantitative skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data
  • Must have a strong eye for detail

Requirements:

  • Preferred experience: 5+ years of related work experience (B2B and/or Manufacturing Industry experience a plus), including 2+ years of CRM administration
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum Experience: 3+ years of related work experience, including 1+ years of general CRM experience
  • Potential travel: Up to 5%
