Set ups and runs a limited scope of machine shop equipment.
Makes parts from drawings or blueprints.
Designs and builds fixtures for use in machining.
Writes basic programs for CNC machines with supervision.
Makes adjustments and edits to CNC programs.
Interprets drawings that are basic to moderately complex.
Performs advanced machine maintenance and re-calibration.
Sharpens and modifies cutting tools.
Inspects work using inspection tooling (i.e., micrometers, calipers) to accurately measure complex part features.
Performs any other assigned duty as directed by management.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and sketches
Process and tool design experience
3 + years experience in CNC milling/lathe/router machining
Ability to perform basic programming using CAD-CAM software
Has a basic knowledge of machine uses and manufacturing materials
Have good working knowledge of shop mathematics
