Accounting and Financial Reporting Intern

JOB TITLE: Accounting and Financial Reporting Intern

LOCATION: Enpro Corporate: Charlotte, NC Headquarters

SUMMARY:

This intern will gain hands on experience and exposure to various aspects of Accounting & Financial Reporting.   You will support the department’s projects as well as complete general accounting and/or reporting responsibilities for Enpro Corporate.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare internal and external reporting on consolidated results, including preparation of the quarterly Form 10-Q and annual Form 10-K to be filed with the SEC, and related information to be utilized in earnings release
• Execute key SOX controls on financial reporting
• Assist in preparation and kick-off of annual Corporate budget and planning process for 2023
• Perform detailed analysis of corporate headquarters spend, highlighting trends and outliers to provide decision-useful information to management
• Other tasks and duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:

• GPA 3.0 and Above
• Must be pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree
• Must possess action-oriented work ethic
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required
• Ability to multi-task and work within required timelines
• Microsoft Office proficiency required; Strong Excel skills (pivoting, filtering, LOOKUP, etc.)
• Must be detail-oriented

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Seeking a relevant degree in business with a concentration in finance and/or accounting
